The Trophic Pyramid
A trophic pyramid is a graphic model in the shape of a triangle that shows the flow of energy through a food chain. Primarily it demonstrates how the amount of energy decreases and becomes less available as the trophic levels in the pyramid increase. The trophic pyramid uses the 10 percent rule to show the energy transfer among the consumers. Because of this the pyramid also shows why there is a more need of producers than consumers
